Our Services

What We Provide

At The Sidmouth Nursing Home, our top priority is providing exceptional nursing care services to elderly people, as well as residents who are under retirement age.

Before admitting any resident, a comprehensive initial assessment is carried out by a qualified professional to ensure we can offer the necessary care required. Additionally, each future resident is offered a trial period to ensure they are comfortable in our home. We also offer emergency admissions. Our focus is on patient-centred care, which means we put emphasis on the individual needs and preferences of each resident.

The home is proud to have been accredited as a Gold Standard Framework End of Life care provider, reflecting our commitment to providing exceptional end-of-life care services.

Daycare Services

If you are interested in our Day Care services, please contact the Manager to discuss your individual requirements.

Respite Care

Complex Nursing Services

Our home consults regularly with specific Healthcare Professionals who advise on more complex nursing needs in order to ensure that nursing input is maintained to an excellent standard.

Regular Activities

There are a range of activities taking place along with one-to-one interactions with residents. We have our long serving staff providing one-to-one company and wellbeing support to our residents and these include those who are bed-bound, have Dementia, hard of hearing, are anxious etc.

We have a very interactive Music session that takes place every Monday Morning. We welcome babies and animals when they visit as this adds to the well-being of all. Regular arts and crafts sessions to encourage residents’ creativity and well-being through craft work. A weekly exercise session is carried out, which consist of a variety of physical activities and exercises that are tailored to meet the diverse needs and abilities of the residents. There is a variety of music on offer according to residents’ choices. Musicians, a harpist, and vocalists regularly perform at the Home throughout the year.

A Chiropodist and Hairdresser visit on a regular basis and Holy Communion Service is taken within the home. We also have activities specially tailored for people with Dementia. Residents are supported to attend special occasions if they wish.  Residents’ special occasions are also celebrated with their friends and family. Relatives and friends are welcome to visit at any time of the day.

What Our Families Say About Us

"Thank you all for taking good care of Jenny since last September.

When she left Wonford Hospital I was told she only had a few weeks to live, but due to your good care I was given an extra eight precious months with my lovely Jenny."

Brian Holland

"Your staff are all fabulous. The love, care, attention and respect given to my mother is simply outstanding. I truly could not wish for a better place for her to be. Your nurses, carers, kitchen staff, maintenance - they are all wonderful. It is such a happy environment."

"We cannot give enough praise for the compassionate and professional way that your team looked after her. In what must be getting on for 400 visits to my Aunt in that time I can never remember once having cause for concern."
